Reverend Lernette P. Patterson
Rev. Lernette (People) Patterson was born in West Palm Beach, Florida. She is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Bowie State University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration. She also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Phoenix and a Master of Divinity Degree from Houston Graduate School of Theology.
Rev Patterson is an ordained Itinerant Elder in the A.M.E. Church. She accepted her call to preach the Gospel on May 18, 1995, at Historic Greater Mt. Nebo African Methodist Episcopal Church in Mitchellville, Maryland under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Jonathan L. Weaver.
Worshiper, exhorter, teacher, preacher and prayer warrior are characteristics that would describe this Woman of God. In November 2017, Rev. Patterson received her first pastoral assignment at Old Ocean Circuit in Danciger, Texas, where she merged the circuit and is now St. Mary-Bethlehem A.M.E. Church. She served faithfully at Wesley A.M.E. Church, Houston, as Christian Education Director, and Church Administrative Partner under the leadership of Sr. Pastor, Rev. Dr. Leo M. Griffin.
In November 2021, she was transferred to Historic Reedy Chapel A.M.E. in Galveston, TX, where she currently serves as Pastor.
She is happily married to Pete Patterson, and they are the proud parents of LaQuondra Patterson-Levias and granny to Brycen and Luka Levias.
Rev. Patterson’s favorite scriptures are Romans 8:38-39 and James 5:16.
